Overallocated resource in Summary tasks - cannot get rid!
Hiya
I've got a project which is all auto scheduled tasks. Allocation of resources is kind of a moot point due to the nature of what I'm planning out. I've got certain steps in a process that can take (as an example) a minimum of 3 days but could take up to 2 weeks. I'm creating the plan based on the maximum duration of time that a summary task could take. The sub tasks were all showing as overallocated although I'm only adding the resource names into this 'project plan' to show who would do each of the steps - not to indicate any resource allocation or calculate if they are or aren't overallocated. However, I went through them all and chose the 'ignore' option so that's the sub tasks sorted out. But two things indicate further things aren't correct: 1. The summary days durations don't tot up correctly 2. I cannot remove the red man from the summary tasks! The option to ignore on right clicking (or any other) doesn't appear. What do I need to look at now? |
