Hi All,
Is there a way to design a re-usable schedule that can change based on the answer to questions e.g. Have a schedule that can be used to build a house. It's detailed and covers everything from planning permission to adding a garage. However the 2nd house already has planning permission and doesn't need a garage, so remove those sections. We appear to be re-building schedules all the time which leads to variances in quality. I would like to build a master schedule that is linked to a questionnaire i.e.: 1: Is planning permission required? 2: 2,3 or 4 Bed house? 3: Is a garage required Take these answers and dynamically change the schedule based on the output of the questionnaire. Is this possible? Regards, Scott |

One of the VBA guys will be along, but simplistically, I guess you could do something in Excel and copy/paste it in to MSProject
ie create a table with all the options in the build sequence, and select those that you need in a column called "required" Filter on those required (or use a pivot table) and paste the resultant data into Project Ref Task Duration Required 1 Is planning permission needed 10d Yes 2 2 bed house 110d 3 3 bed house 120d Yes 4 4 bed house 140d 5 Garage 10d Yes |
