Default adding dependencies to part of a split task

I want to split a task, keep the start date fixed and make the start of the second part dependent on the start of a preceding task - how can I do this?

Thanks,

Leslie

easiest way's to just turn it in to 2 tasks. The first is pre split, and the second post, then link the second task to the activity you want it to follow.
you cannot link splits as such, as the start date will always be the Start dart as given in the task.
