Importing an excel file, Wizard doesn't show it as an option

I'm attempting to import an excel file (of task names) into a new project. The problem is that the import wizard isn't showing that file as an option to import, I'm only getting the 2 default/example files. I've checked that my file name is OK (no spaces) and that the data is also OK (again, no spaces) and it's on the desktop of the machine I'm using. How do I get the wizard to show me the file I want to import? thank you!

The easiest way if its just a task is is to copy from the excel sheet and paste directly into project. depend son what else you want to do , but will do the job a lot easier.
