Default Tracking Multiple Schedules

Hi...I am soon to be developing an MS Project schedule for a work project. The project is funded by 3 difference sources each getting a portion of the deliverables with some slight variations. The cost of most tasks will be shared by the 3. There are some tasks that will specific to each vendor. We will be required to deliver some basic earned value status each month to each.

We would rather not develop 3 different schedules. What would be the best way to develop a schedule like this? We would want the vendors to only see their costs and their status updates and not have any view of the competitor's details during the monthly schedule review. I do not have much experience with master projects/sub projects but it seems like this would be the way to go. Any advice?
