Default Reports using Group by

Good morning All,

I'm trying to create a MS Project file for the commercial proposals management and consequently the planning of work and resources for future projects.

I would like to point out that I'm not really expert in using Project.

However, for each proposals there are 3 key variables.:

1 - Contract value

2 - Order year

3 - Possibility in % to get the contract. To simplify I introduced multiple of 10.

The first question is where locate these variables.

At the moment I used custom fields, Contract value (text1), year (text1), Possibility (number1). Is this correct or there's a better way?

The problem comes when I need reports which show for example the value of the contracts in 2018, or the value of the contracts with the possibility divided in %.

Using "group by" nothing appears on the reports.

I kindly ask you a support. Hope that all is clear.

Thanks in advance

Daniele
