Managing Large amounts of resource Non-working times
I'm aware of the resource-specific calendars in MS Project and use them to manage vacation days and other types of non-working days of resources. However, this process is very tedious. One has to go into a resource's specific calendar to enter/adjust dates and with many resources (think 100+) this becomes a very big and endless task.
Is there a way to enter/manage this type of data more easily? For example, would it not be possible to show a year calendar of all resources in one table where one can input non-working time? Even better would be to allow the users to enter non-working time themselves so that the personal calendars are always up to date. ps. I've looked into the possibility to use MS Outlook Calendar for this but it doesn't seem that there are any easy ways to connect MS Project with Outlook without having Project server and/or plugins. |
