Default Predecessor and successor on different calendar

Successor calendar working day is 07:30 to 18:00.
Predecessor calendar working day is 08:00 to 17:00.

How can I get the successor to start the next work day, rather than starting at 17:00 for just one hour after the predecessor has finished.

I'm afraid the best option is a work around. Create a task with a duration of one minute - set it as the success to task 1 - predecessor to task to and apply the successor calendar to the task. But, the next question is why are you applying so many task calendars? Give us some more insight into the "whys" and we'll tro to be more helpful.

This is a common problem in many projects I have, (infrastructure construction) where permitted working times vary in different areas (eg road 1 working times are 0800-1800, while road 2 is off peak only due to access, and road 3 is 0900-1730 due to residents). Its not a choice, but imposed by the client.

OP- depending on exactly why the limits are imposed, there may be alternatives. Generally, I will use a standard day and standard night shift, and ignore the stated working times. Use days as your standard time, and this allows you to create a programme where you only use one calendar, but can keep track of work.

In your case, where there is only an hour or so difference between working days, I would suggest this is the best solution. If you need to keep track of the available time for each task, create a column (or columns) for start/ finish times, if only as a record of the permitted times.
