Default filtering a single summary task.

How can I filter just a single summary task with all it's subtasks?

Have you tried autofilter? You can click the drop down to the right of the Task Name column and select only the tasks you wish to see.

Default Yes I have tried it. doesn't work

I have 30 apartments with about 200 tasks each in my project.
Every apartment is a summary task with many sub tasks.
and many of the tasks are with the same name, for example:
"Installation of air conditioning"
when I try the autofilter, it filters out many of the sub tasks with the same name
or even with a close name.
I need a list of custom "one click" filters for each apartment with all of it's sub tasks,
I tried using the "nunber 1" column and filled the value from 1 to 30 for each apartment,
but it doesn't seem it's the right way to do it, and very inconvenient,
because I have to fill the value manually each time I add a task.

Is there any way to do it with the "new filter" option?

thanks,
Hillel

If the tasks are named the same and the numbers are the same, you can't use a filter. The names need to be unique in order to apply filters. If you only want to filter for one apartment, I'd use a spare text field and copy/paste the apartment names into the text field. Then filter only on those fields.

Another option is to forget filtering and use the ability to collapse all summary tasks quickly - then just expand the one you want.

Finally I used the WBS field.
It works great, even after adding a new task.

New filter>
field name>WBS test>equals value> 1.1* etc...

Thanks anyway
