Less productive resources in %alocation
Hi,
I have in MS Project the Resource John with availability 100%, I have a second resource Ann which is a junior working together with John which is supposed to produce 1/5 of John (20%). When I assign these resources to a task, I would like that the daily number hours of work of John is 5 times greater than Ann. So if a task requires 6 hours of work per day, I want 5 to be of John. The percentage of availability does give a greater amount of hours to John, but still doesn't work fully. I am working with fixed work/fixed duration tasks. So if I increase work time, I want project to recalculate the percentage of allocation to each of the resources, maintaining the final date. Any help? Thanks, C |

I am not sure what you mean by "still doesn't work fully". They key issue is making sure that task is effort driven. Assign John and enter total work. Then assign Ann.
