Arrow MS Project 2016 - Resourse pool and private resources

Hi to everyone,
I have to manage several projects (more or less 15/20) so I am setting up a Master file, a Resource Pool file and a project file for each project.

The link between files works properly and the resources are shared between projects.

Now I would like to create some "private" resorce for each project without share the information between projects.

For example: I have Project A, Project B and a Resource pool with Resource 1 and Resource 2 in sharing between projects.
Now I would like to add MaterialResource A that is relatated only to project A. How can I do it?

Thanks
Andrea

Sorry it can't be done. All resources in the pool are shared with all sharer files. The best suggestion I can offer is communicate the restrictions and audit the pool frequently.

Thank you JulieS.

One more question: is it not possibile because it is a lack of MS Project or because my approach is wrong?

I mean, I suppose that it is quite common that there are shared resources between projects and private resources dedicated to a specific project... or not?

Thank you
Andrea

Nothing wrong with your approach - it's just not possible in MS Project. You can control that with Project server where you can allow "local" resources - but that is only available when using Project Server.
