Auto Levelling Resource Does something I don't understand
Dear, Can someone help me understand what MS Project does when I click on the level all button? In attachment I have a msproject file. When I click on the "Resource/Level/Level All"-button it splits the task on row 11. I can understand that this happens, but what I don't understand is that msproject actually still over-allocates the resource "Montage" whit the task on row 5. So in my opinion the resource "Monteren" is still over-allocated on "Tue 27/12". Can someone please help me understand? Thanks in advance. (my apologies for bad English). Wocky |

What are your leveling options? Day by Day? Allow delays to critical tasks? Take a look at the Resource Usage view and add the Peak Units field to the view.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. Uhm.. In the levelling options I marked "day by day". I just don't understand why "montage" is being planned at the same time, in 2 different tasks... Ah.. I see a peak 200% yes.. but I don't want it to be able to peak. Do you know how to turn it of? Thanks in advance. |
