Overwriting values in formula controlled column
I have a text column within my project that inserts text depending on the resource group.
Is it possible to overwrite this at all? For example, for the resource group "A", the text string by default is "QWE". Is there a way to set up the formula so that this can be overtyped, or is it now fixed? thanks in advance |

Sorry - columns are either calculated or not. You cannot type in columns that are calculated.

as I expected- it was a forlorn hope
We are looking at changing the layout in VB so that we can use a value in the column in another column (i.e. copy the value over as an input as opposed to a formula). So far it works as an excel copy and paste, then copying the values back- our resident VB expert is still on a learning curve, although i am gradually catching up! |
