Default New to Project and start and finish keeps adding a minute

Building a class schedule that has an 8 hour day. I'm wanting to show individual hours but the system keeps adding an additional minute as I add more tasks. What am I doing wrong. Also can I set it up for one full 8 hour day with no lunch break?

One task duration is for 4 hours. Start is 9 am and finish shows 1:01 pm

Thanks in advance.

My time was off. I had it set for an 8 hr day two shifts 0900-1200, 1201-1700. It was adding a minute for lunch.
