Bruno,
Have you looked at the built-in Visual reports? Project tracks everything to the minute so the ability to see start date/time is already there. |

hello Julie - I have looked at the reports like (ProjectOverview) (in German, it is called Projektübersicht).
I need to export the data to excel and continue to work with the data. So how can I export these data based on a daily periode? Regards Bruno |

The Visual Reports export the data to Excel. On the Reports tab, click Visual Reports.

Hello Julie,
my problem is this: A tasks starts on Oktober 20th with a duration of 30 days. So part of the task will be done in Oktober, the rest in November. I need to report how many hours (duration and work) are for a single ressource in a specific week and month. It seems to me, that the current reports do not represent this (tabluar and graphical (visual) Reports. I that true? if so, I could set up a filter for each week and month and get the result from MS Project and export the stuff to excel - and continue there. I am really missing the report (2010): Who is what doing when. Regards Bruno |

Start with the Budget Work Visual Report
Select Level of usage data = Weeks. Click View to create the report and export the data to Excel. Click the Assignment usage tab in the Excel spreadsheet to see the Pivot table In the Pivot Table field list, click Resources to add Resources to the list. Drag Tasks from the Filters area into the Rows area after Resources Right click on one of the tasks and select Show Properties in Report. Select Scheduled Start and Scheduled Finish to show the dates of the task Drag weekly calendar to Columns Uncheck Actual work, Baseline Work, and Budget work to see just Work. Hide columns as needed. You can also get very close to the Who Does What report by printing the Resource usage view. As needed add the Start and Finish dates to see when the work occurs. |
