Default Custom fields formula

Hello,

I'm new to Formulas in custom fields and I was wondering if anyone can give help me figure out how to create a formula to display the start date with the format mm/dd, the finish date with the same format and a text.

What I have so far is: [Start] [Check] [Finish] after hitting Ok i get an error message saying that there is a syntax error.

Start: Start date
Check: Custom text
Finish: Finish date

Please help

So I was able to set the formula right [Start] & "- " & [Text1] & "- " & [Finish] the only thing I'm missing is to be able to change the date format from [Start] and [Finish] to mm/dd

I figure it out. Here is the formula in case someone needs it ProjDateConv([Start],pjDate_mm_dd) & " - " & [Text1] & " - " & ProjDateConv([Finish],pjDate_mm_dd)
