Start date of successor
I am having an issue PM 2013 where my successor date starts on the same day as the predecessor ends. This causes resourcing issues.
For e.g. Task one ends on the 15th with duration 1 day Task two starts on the 15th. Why is this happening and how can I get it to start on the next day is my first question. My second questions is if the resource is allocated to spend 5 hours on the first task, technically he has 3 hours left on that day (assuming an 8 hour day) and the task is set to 1 day duration. So does PM know that and allocates 3 hours to task on the 15th and thats why it sets the start date of task 2 to the same day? Thanks |

Turn on the display of time as well as date (File > Options, General). My guess is you have a "day" defined as less hours than you have set in working time.
So what is your definition of "day" (File > Options, Schedule - hours per day). What does your working time calendar show for working time? Does the link have lead? What type of link: Finish to Start? |
