Turn off scheduling warning
Is there any way to deactivate the warning that comes up when you schedule a task to start on a specific date rather than by setting a duration/predecessor? i.e. "Entering a start date is not the best way to schedule a task..."
I find the green flag in the cell distracting and as I'm scheduling milestones for key events that have no predecessor, I'm constantly having to address the warning by telling MSP to keep the task constrained to start on a specific day. |

Consider setting the tasks to manually scheduled and then you can type the dates to your heart's content.
If you want to use constrained, auto scheduled tasks and enter dates:
