Custom Field Strange Happenings
Hi All
Today I received a MSP2010 file for review from one of our suppliers. Naturally this file was not created using a copy of the same Global.mpt that we use. What I did was to use the custom field Text1 to populate with my review comments against each activity in the plan. The current Text1 field had a Formula and Graphical Indicators contained therein so I removed them by deleting the field. This served to remove the formula and Graphical Indicators (or so I thought). I then carried out the following steps in the order shown: 1. Saved the file. 2. Entered a comment in the first row of the file. 3. Saved the file again. 4. Closed the file. 5. Re-opened the file and the original Formula and Graphical Indicators reappeared in the Text1 field and removed my comments. Has anyone else had any experience of this? I am only using one Global.mpt file in its default location. Any help/guidance would be appreciated. Tony |

Are you using Project Server? Is it possible that Text1 is an enterprise field and you cannot create local copies?
