Default showing months in another duration column


i want to add a column so that although in enter durattion in days, that other column will show duration in whole months. how can i do that?

You cannot have things show in "whole months". What do you mean - you want to see the month that the task starts? ends?

i do not want to see a specific month. i want to see the duration in terms of months. right now it shows in days

What are you going to use for your definition of month? 20 working days? 30 calendar days?

30 calendar days would be more accurate. i would use that

In a text field:

Round(([Duration]/[Minutes Per Day])/30,2) & " Months"

thanks it worked but it doesnt show the value for summary tasks. what can I do?

In the Custom Fields dialog under Calculation for group and summary rows select "Use Formula".
