2 Shift - Project Calendar
I'm struggling to create a 2 shift (2nd shift) calendar in MS Project that calculates correctly.
I want to be able to enter a "2 Shift" calendar for my resource and have a 16 hr work day (two 8 hour shifts). When I enter 8 hours it should calculate .5 days duration. When I switch the calendar back to standard it should be 1 day for 8 hours work. Could someone help with this? Maybe post a MS Project 2010 file with the calendar created so I can see it? Much appreciated |

See if the attached file helps. I have a project calendar with working times from 7:00 am to 12:00 am with breaks during when the resources should be not working. My definition of "day" in File > Options, Schedule is 16 hours, week is 80 hours, default start and finish align with Project calendar.
I have a first shift calendar from 07:00 to 3:30 with a half-hour lunch. I have a second shift calendar from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am with a half-hour lunch. I have two resources each one assigned to one of the calendars. |
