MS Project -How to delete Change Working Time - For Calender
I'm trying to delete all those unnecessary items except for Standard, 24 hours and Night Shift from the 'Change Working Time' - For Calender: |

The calendars you show are for resources in your project. Each resource has his/her own calendar that is created automatically when you create the resource. Why do you wish to delete the resource calendars?

How does the calender work? How do I not show my resources without deleting it from my assign resources table?

When you create a resource, each resource has his/her own calendar that is, by default, a copy of the project calendar. You use the resource's calendar to record differences (vacation, different working hours) from the base calendar. You cannot remove the calendar without removing the resource. Again, what is the problem with showing the resource's calendar in the Change Working Time command?

Folowing for Julies comments, if all of your resources are set up to reflect their individual holidays, different working hours or whatever, then no, you cannot delete them from the view without invalidating the reourcing.
If however they are identical (all have same working hours and the same exceptions) then you can convert their calenders to standard (Standard, 24 hours and Night Shift if these apply). Go to resource tab, click resource sheet, and if you dont see it, add new column "base calender". you can then choose the calender that each resource will use, as oppsed to having separate calenders for each. However, as you have a separate calender for each, it would imply that each has different working times. If this is th ecase, yo umay still be able to worarounf depending on ehat shifts they can use, but you need to be careful that this does not give incorrect resourcing. |

Guloluseus,
The resource calendars were not created as separate items and cannot be deleted. Try an experiment. Create a new project and immediately go create a resource. Look at Project > Change Working time and the resource's calendar will appear. |

Julie- yeah, quite right I misinterpreted the OPS request, thinking it was an issue with the calender itself as opposed to the NAME of the calender.
I guess mt answer was correct for a different question, just not the one that was asked. Sorry for the wrong info |
