why am i able to enter data into baseline
i was able to enter manually a date into a baseline that i had saved months ago. why does it let me to do it? baseline was a snapshot of that date. i should not be able to enter data manually there now. what am i missing? |

Project does not prevent baseline data from being manually changed. Only if using Project Server, can you "lock" baselines.

but in theory it should not be allowed, so they probably missed to do this feature then correct?

I can't say what the folks at Microsoft "missed". All I can say is the baseline fields are editable and always have been as far as I know (back to Project 4.1). This is a training and performance issue in my mind.
