Are you attempting to open using Project or Windows Explorer. Try opening through Project.

TIA

So the file does open but the custom report is gone? What do you mean by "the report page is blank? Do you have SP-1 installed to Project 2013?

I have received this error in MSP07 frequently and occasionally in MSP10- every time it has meant a corrupt file, and non recoverable. I don tknow abotu 13, but I would assume similar (not good news, but havent found anything that gives hope yet).
every time I have reverted to a backup- I tend to save at LEAST every hour, or any time that I make any mods of a significant nature. Hoping you have a backup or 20 you can revert to- if the worst comes to the worst, take it as an unfortunate lesson. Not good I know, but I found out th ehard way that backups can be inconvenient but they are useful.
Failing that you may have an autosave somewhere, or possibly a shadow copy that you can restore- I have sometimes gotten shadows that load and work fine.

How would I check to see if SP-1 is installed?
The gantt data is still there and other "default" reports work as normal so don't think teh file is lost.

Thanks as always

You should be able to see if SP-1 is installed through the Control Panel. Look at "Windows Updates".

See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2817433 for more details.

Access is severly restricted here, I'm not able to get to most of the control panel features.

Guess it's time to rebuild the report :-(

A suggestion - save the report to the Global.mpt file through File > Info > Organize.

That way you can copy back from Global should something go wrong in a single file.
