Showing reosurce and work in same field
Hi
How can I display for each task in a 'gantt' view the resource and work? The default resource field has the format: {resource name}{[% allocated]}, ... and I would like: {resource name}{work(d)},{resource name}{work(d)}, {resource name}{work(d)}, ... This is much more useful I know I can see this information in the split view - task details form - but I will find this view very useful. Done some searches and can not find this answer so hope someone can help me? |

I'm afraid this isn't possible. The Work field in a task view shows total work on the task - not broken down by each resource assigned. The Task Usage view is the best view to show each task and the assignment of each resource to the task.

It may be possible to loop through each task and write the resource names and work into spare text fields, concatenate the fields, and then show in the Gantt chart view - but I'm afraid I'm not the person to give you details.
You may download the Project 2010 SDK from: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=15511 |
