You may assign material resources at a specific cost per day. Add a hammock task to the project:

Create a material resource with a cost (standard rate) of $5000. Split your screen to show the Gantt chart in the upper pane and the task form in the lower pane. Select the material resource form Resource Name list and in the units field, enter 1/d to assign the $5000 resource at one per day.
