Unhappy Copy and Paste of a Task...Including all of the Task's 'children'...to a new task

How do I copy and task...including all of its children...and paste as a new task...within Project 2013?

(you would think that this would be a simple procedure..but every time I attempt to 'copy and paste' an existing task...in order to create an exact replication of it...the parent-child relationships are not maintained!)

Collapse the detail tasks by clicking the black triangle. Select the Summary task by clicking on the Task ID (row number).
Copy and paste.
Please also ensure you have SP-1 installed to Project 2013.
