Multiple projects in a sheet
I want to plan multiple projects in one sheet, so that I could use same resource for different projects. But in this case I can not see the critical path and if I plan different projects in separate sheet using shared resources option, then I can not see the impact of any delay on other projects untill I open and see all project files. Currently I am working on more then 50 projects at the same time

Select both tasks and then click on (link task) button or press Ctrl+F2, moreover this change will automatically reflect on individual plans also.

You have a couple of options:
When keeping all tasks in one project, you can view individual network critical paths through Tools > Options, Calculation - show multiple critical paths. You may create a resource pool file http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/pr...010214871.aspx And then create a master project from the pool to link tasks across project files. |

Create a master project:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/pr...001226035.aspx http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/pr...in=HA001226035 Once you have inserted the subprojects, make sure you have expanded all tasks to see all levels of tasks in the inserted projects. Select the first task (predecessor) CTRL + Click to select the successor task. Click the Link Task button. |

Break link from Resource Pool when project complete
Hello all!
When using a resource pool is there any easy way of automatically breaking the link to projects that have become are 100% complete? Or at least is there an easier way than going to the share list and hunting down the file you want to break the link with? Thanks, Max |

No, sorry. You'll need to break the link manually. Open the pool file (read/write) and the sharer file. In the sharer, choose to "Use own resources". Save and sharer and pool. Double check the pool to make sure it has also broken the link.

I'm sorry, I don't understand your question.
If you've created the master project, any task view (Gantt chart, Task Usage view) shows the schedule and who is working. The resource usage view shows the assignments by resource. |
