MS Project 2010 - 'Who Does What When' report question
Hi,
I am using MS project 2010 standard edition. I wondered if it was possible to run the 'Who does what when' report with a specified date range. For example, it would show which resources do what within a time period i.e.quarterly or a specific month. Does anyone know if this is possible and how i would do it? I am running the report from the 'Project' tab, 'Reports' button, 'Assignments' button and 'Who Does What When' report option. Currently it provides the report for the full duration of the Project. Thank you. |

You can apply the date range filter to the report however, as the report summarizes resource work, you will still see the reporting from the beginning of the project. The assignments will not be there but any work will show at the resource line.
Select the report with a single click, then click Edit. Change the filter to Date range. Once you have the report, then set the Date Range in the Print Settings. I hope this helps. |

Thanks for the reply, so there is no way i can define the report to just show a specified date range.

I assure you, if there was another method, I would have shared it.

Hi,
I found the solution to this with as combination of your answer and installing the hotfix located below (apparentrly it is a known issue of MS Project) it can be done. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2536590 Issue resolved - A Microsoft Project 2010 report enables you to select and print a specific data range. For example, you can print all tasks, resources, assignments or all time scaled dates. When you try to print a specific data range in a report in Project 2010, the whole data range is printed. Posting this for others if they ever need the answer. Thanks for your help. |

Sorry, yes. I did not understand that you had tried to print the date range and failed. I assumed (obviously incorrectly) that you wanted to limit the data in the Who Does What When report.
The hotfix you note was included in SP-2 which was released in April 2013. I strongly suggest installing SP-2 to Project 2010. |
