Default Cost Reporting 2013

Forgive me if this is something simple, I am trying to access a cost report for the project I have created and assigned resources to, I have set it up as follows,

PROJECT NAME
PHASE 1
task 1
task 2
PHASE 2
task 1
task 2
PHASE 3
task1
task2

The problem is I can only see the cost for the entire project not each phase which is what I would like, they are currently set up as the tasks are subtaks to the phases and everything is a sub task to the PROJECT NAME.

thanks in advance

Are you using Visual Reports or dashboard reports or a view? If you are using Visual Reports such as the Cash Flow Report, move the Tasks Field from the Filter portion of the Pivot table to the Rows section. You can then expand to show different levels of reports.

If you are using the Dashboard report, it usually shows outline level 1 tasks.

Give us more of a hint about which reports you are trying to run and we'll try to be more helpful.

I don't understand. Are you saying the option is no longer there under Reports > Costs?

Is it in other files? You can copy the original report settings from the Global template by going to File > Info, "Organize Global Template". Click the Reports tab and copy from the Global.mpt (usually on the left) to your current file. You will lose any customization in your current file.
