Default Gantt bar text labels - possible to put resource hours against the bars?

If I go into bar styles on the gantt chart area, I can select the drop down that allows me to put resource names against each bar.

However, it always shows the percentage allocation

Eg. Design Engineer [80%], Design Manager [20%]

Is it possible to get it to show the hours instead? So that it would say:

Design Engineer [32h], Design Manager [8h]

Percentages mean nothing to me or my colleagues who would be more concerned with budgeted hours than percentage allocations over time.

Or are there any other views that might allow me show programme activities, resources against that activity and each resources budgeted hours?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help....
