Default Incorrect Task Status

Hi All
I have an interesting question on a tasks status. Basically one of our PMs is trying to update a task which is showing as late but in real terms it is not late. Here is the scenario:
Task duration is 2 days.
Start date is 6 March and finish date is 1 Apr.
Actual work so far is 8hrs on 6 March and 7.83hrs on 7 March.
Future work is 0.17hrs on 1 Apr.
However the Status is showing as Late and I am a little puzzled as to why.

Can anyone help?
Thanks
Tony

Edit:
Sorted. The PM was using %Complete to record Actual % Completion rather than Physical % Completion.
