Default non working day view

Hiya,

I'm a beginner with Project so please bear with me. what I'm asking may be a simple task, but I'm dammed if I can figure it out even with the power of Google and You Tube.

What I'm after is to display several tasks within one project but with only the relevant working days shown on the chart for the given task.
e.g.
TASK Course 5 DURATION 10 weeks START today END autocomplete
this course only runs on a Tue/Wed so I would like to show only Tue/Wed working days on this row.

TASK Course 6 DURATION 10 weeks START today END autocomplete
this course only runs on a Thur/Fri so I would like to show only Thur/Fri working days on this row.

I've tried but I can only view one calendar at a time. I've created 2 calendars Tue/Wed only and Thur/Fri only with the other days set to non-working days.

any help appreciated
mijam

You can create task calendars (as it sounds like you may have) to restrict the scheduling of the tasks to their respective days. By assigning the task calendars, the task will be scheduled only for those days. To assign the task calendar, show the Task Information (right click) and set the Task Calendar on the advanced tab.

However, the display of non-working time (default gray shade) is set for the entire Gantt chart - you cannot show only Tuesday/Wednesday on Course 5 and Thursday/Friday on Course 6.

I personally would turn off the display of non-working time as your definition is variable.
