Default losing views and filters when up grading 2003 to 2010

I have recently been upgraded to 2010 from 2003.

I have some large programmes and have broken them down in to different views showing different bar styles.
When i open the 2003 files in 2010 there are only some of the views available and the bar styles set in the 2003 file have been lost.

Is there anything I can do or do I have recreate the views and filters in 2010.

Thank you

Glenn

It sounds like your Global.mpt file was not upgrade when you were upgraded. However the individual file should still contain the custom views. If you look at More Views (not the shortcut menu) are they still there?

Are you also up to date (SP-2) with project 2010?

Julie

Thank you very much for quick reply.

I have checked the Custom Views and only 2 of the previous 20 views are displayed in the list. If I select one of the custom views the table and filter work ok but the view does not show the customised Bar Styles I had prevously set up in the 2003 version. In the Bar Styles box the previously customised bars are not listed
All the Customised filters appear to be there for selection.

I do not hace service pack 2 installed, I have requested our IT Support team to install the latest service pack.

My Global.MPT must have been changed (not sure if it is the latest One) My previous Global.MPT had a neat little macro called Trace but this is no longer is available. I have tried copying the old Global.MPT in, but when I tried to open project it failed.
Thank you again
Regards
Glenn

Let us know if SP-2 helps. Do the custom views call to custom tables? Are those tables available?

Hi Julie
The custom views do contain custom tables and these are available in the drop down tables window.
I will let you know the out come when the SP has been updated.
Thanks again

Check the Organizer dialog - not drop down lists. Not all tables or View will appear in the drop down lists.

Just checked the Organiser box, the Tables and filters are there but only 4 of the 20 Views that i previuosly used.
Before the update to 2010 I took a copy of the global.mpt file, I have tried replacing the new global file with old global file, but it would not open 2010 MSP so i put the new one back.
Thank you for your help
Glenn

You won't be able to replace the global unless you did on upgrade. Rename your old global.mpt and see if you can open it in Project 2013. if the custom views, tables, and filters are there - use the organizer to copy them to the new Global.
