Automatically assign resources based on Matrix
Hello,
I have a Matrix of Resources. I wish ms project could automatically assign the resource. https://www.dropbox.com/s/883u7hwmzbq8of5/MATRIX.PNG Example: [TaskName]--[Text1]--[Text2] Task1 -- R2 -- T:4,11x6,15 (and Project would select one of the resources E1 or E2) Any way this can be done? Thanks Last edited by andrebmsilva; 11-09-2013 at 12:04 PM. Reason: To simplify question |

No, sorry. Assignment of resources is up to the project manager or scheduler.

No version of Project including server will ever assign resources automatically. I am not familiar with Preactor but it appears to be a production scheduling product - Project can be used for that purpose but it will not schedule resources automatically.

You're welcome. You may be able to work with filtering to get a shortened list of resources using the Group field. The Assign resources dialog window has the ability to apply filters and return a filtered list of resources.
