I dont know if i understood your answer. I am the project manager/scheduler. Do i need ms project server ? Cant the assignment of resources be done aumatically ? maybe i need an APS like preactor or izaro ? thanks

No version of Project including server will ever assign resources automatically. I am not familiar with Preactor but it appears to be a production scheduling product - Project can be used for that purpose but it will not schedule resources automatically.
