Default How to have multiple blocks of duration for one task

Hi everyone

I'm currently building a project plan and trying to have some tasks at the very bottom that would show people's availability i.e. when they are on vacation.

The problem is I can't see how to have more than one block of duration. So for example if they were on holiday for a week in December then 2 weeks in March. I would want the task duration to block out these periods so you could easily see it on the Gantt chart.

Anyone know how I can do this?

I imagine it must be possible as in project you could easily have tasks that stop and start throughout the duration i.e. gaps for other tasks to complete etc

Thanks a lot!

You can manually edit the work information in the Task Usage or Resource Usage view.
Create the "vacation" task for each user, switch to the Task Usage or Resource Usage view and enter the days off as work in the View. The task will show splits in the Gantt view.
