Master Schedule and Multiple Resource Pools
Hello!
I am beginning to make a master schedule and share resources and dont want to do it incorrectly. The way I am doing this is to create an independant resource pool file (resource pool takes precedance) and share this with the individual subprojects. The subprojects are then inserted into a master project schedule which are linked. I can change the subprojects or the master and it is reflected on both. I only alter the resource pool on the resource file. Will I have trouble with this later? Is this setting myself up for file corruption? |

You're actually doing an additional step that is unnecessary. After creating the resource pool file and connecting the share files, open the resource pool and when prompted, select the third option - "Open resource pool read-write and all other sharer files into a new master project file....."
