Difference between Manually Scheduled and Auto Scheduled tasks

Can anyone explain the difference between these two tasks with example?

Manually scheduled tasks do not respond to the project scheduling engine. You can enter start or finish dates for a manually scheduled task that are not during working time.
Autoscheduled tasks can only be scheduled during working time as defined in the task calendar.
