Default PLEASE HELP! How do I export a MS Project CashFlow to an Excel Spreadsheet?

I am really struggling to export a cashflow generated in Microsoft Project as an Excel Spreadsheet.

I would like the cashflow to show the Task and the Month by Month Cashflow of a Headline cost, straight-lined over a period of 12 months.

I Would really appreciate some help!

Thanks,

Chris

You don't mention what version of Project - but assuming you have Project 2007 or later, there is a Visual Report for Cash flow which creates a Pivot table in Excel.

Default Exporting Problems

I'm using 2013, but I can't export to Excel... the program crashes... Is there any other way to get a monthly cash flow statement?

The only direct method is through the Visual reports. You certainly can display cash flow in the Task Usage view copy and paste. Is Project or Excel crashing?

It is the Visual Report dialogue box that freezes. I can't close it. The only way is by closing Project with Task Manager

Should I reinstall MS Project? There were some issues when it was first installed

I would try a repair of Project first. (From Control panel assuming you are using Windows 7). Certainly if there were 'issues' when Project was first installed, I'd try to fix that first.

Smile Repaired

I found the fix! I went to Control Panel > Region and Language > Formats (tab) > Format Dropdown > English (United States) and then opened the report with no problem!

I then went back to Control Panel > Region and Language > Formats (tab) > Format Dropdown > and switched back to English (Canada) and then back to Project, and the report still works.

Thanks for your time Julie

PS: What would we do without Google!
