Question Edit of existing report

Is there a simple away that I can change the existing report 'Upcoming Tasks' to reflect a ten day period as opposed to one week? Alternatively, can I copy the report and then edit the parameters somehow?

Hi,

There is no report called "Upcoming tasks". There is a "tasks starting soon report" that uses the Date Range filter. It sounds like this may be a custom report? It's difficult to suggest how to edit the report - without knowing how it is made - but generally, yes you can copy a report and edit the copy.

To copy and existing report:
Project tab,
Reports
Find the report and single click to select.
Click the Edit button and give the report a new name.
Assuming the report is running a filter, you should see the name of the filter appear on the definition page.

You may need to modify the filter to include different date ranges.

So - to help further - I'd need more information about the filter definition.

Find the filter and look at the definition (View tab, filter drop down, more filters, edit) and post back with the details.

Julie

Julie

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I should have mentioned that I am using Project 2013, the reporting for which seems to have been designed differently. The Upcoming Tasks is a provided report. I cannot see how I can edit this.

Sorry - my installation of Project 2013 has no report named "Upcoming tasks" - so I'm still guessing it is a custom report.

Is it a table based report? If so, click in the table and on the field list on the right - there should still be an option for filters. To create a report - open the existing report, on the Report Tools - Design tab - select "Manage" to rename the report or Copy to create a copy of the report and edit.
