Default Calendar

Hello,

1-How do you make a 6 day calendar? I am using MS Project 2007.

2-Also, how do you make 10 hour or 12 hour workdays? Do you have to do something different if your calendar is 6 days when you do this?

  1. Tools > Change Working Time.
  2. Click the Create new calendar button.
  3. Name the new calendar as needed.
  4. Click the "Work Weeks tab" and click the Details button.
  5. Monday through Friday will all ready be set as working days with the default 08:00 - 17:00 working time.
  6. Select the sixth day (Saturday or Sunday).
  7. Click the "Set these days to specific working time option button and enter the working time.

Same process as above but in step 5 select the working days and change the start and finish times.

ok thanks, and now a simpler question.

1- i created the calendar as you described but now how can i use that calendar?

2-i had entered days into my schedule before creating this calendar.

now when i start using this calendar, does it mean those days wil appear the same but will mean 7 day calendar days? or will i have to multiply the previous days i entered by 5/7 to convert to 7 day work weeks?

and the new days will mean based on 7 days only i assume

You assign the calendar in Project Information as the project calendar. You must also adjust the definition of "day" and "week" in the Schedule Options.

If you assign the project calendar it will adjust the schedule.
