Is there a way to have versions of a project when it uses a resource pool ? ( that is linked to other projects)
For stand alone projects that do not use resource pools it should be simple to have dated copies of the same project for backup and other uses such as trying out different scenarios. However I can't see how this can be done if a project is linked to a resource pool: I once unwittingly had two versions of the same project sharing a pool - what a mess that was ! I'm on project 2010 (non server) Thanks Tony |

Hi Tray,
No Project does not have versioning like Word does - and, as you have discovered, creating copies of files attached to a pool is a definition "no-no". You can create copies of the files through Save AS - but you must immediately disconnect the copy or have the issue of duplicated assignments. Julie |
