Collapseable summary tabs are not seperatable project 2010
Hi,
I am using project for one of my work at Ministry, I am not very much familiar with this project software so I came up with an issue. The issue is that I have created two collapsible summary tabs, I want both of them to work separately, e-g if I collapse one summary tab, the other one should remain open but the issue that I am facing is, that when I collapse the top most tab it collapses everything. So can someone tell me how to do this, I want both of the summary tabs to work separately and one more thing that I noticed the lower summary tab's days are somehow connected to top most summary tab, while I want both of them to be independent. |

Are you sure both of the summary tasks are at the same level? Is the second a subtask of the first?
Go to View tab, Outline and select Outline Level 1 -- do you see both summary tasks? Can you click the plus mark to expand one and leave the other collapsed? |

Well when I go to view tab and do that, everything collapses even one another summary tab collapses too because of this one top summary tab. I didn't wanted all summary tabs to collapse rather I want it like this that when I collapse one summary tab, it doesn't have any effect on other summary tabs and its sub tasks.
but in my case when I collapse the top summary task, it collapses all below summary tasks, somehow the below summary task is acting like subtask while i wanted it to be an independant summary task. Even the second summary task shares its days with the first summary task, while according to the structure that I wanted I didin't wanted the second summary task's days to be shared with the first summary task's days. |

The Project summary task should be the first line in your project - at row zero.
Then come your summary tasks - all at outline level 1. If the tasks are disappearing when you select Outline Level 1 - you need to outdent the tasks to the correct level: Click the task name and on the Task Tab, click the Outdent button. Use the indent and outdent buttons to set your structure. |
