Filter indirect dependencies
Hi,
Is there a way to filter out tasks that are linked to one specific task (task A, ID 1) indirectly? I know how to filter out all tasks with lets say task A as predecessor. But if task C has task B as predecessor which in turn has task A as predecessor I will not found task C when I filter out tasks which has A as predecessor even though task C has task A as predecessor indirctly. Or should I avoid indirect dependencies and link all tasks to root task? |

I don't believe there are any filters that will accomplish this. However, if you are using project 2010 you can "walk back" from predecessor to predecessor using the Task Inspector.
I think you need to set predecessors as dictated by the tasks in your project. If it is in a series, link it in a series. I hope this helps. Julie |
