adding multiple resources
I would like to add multiple resources to a task, I can add them but I would like it to show up having one resource per day. Is there a way to change the spacing so this will work?
Thank you! |

Hello Katy I,
I'm sorry, but I don't think I understand what you are asking. If you mean have the resource scheduled to work different days on a multi-day task, why? If the resources has non-working time in their calendar, the task should automatically only schedule working for working days. You can modify when a resource works on a task through the Task Usage view -- go in and edit the working hours and place the hours where you want them to be. Is that what you mean? Julie |

Hi Julie,
Sorry it is kind of an odd situation. One of the guys I work with is creating a schedule and he wants to have different shifts for different days. The only way I could think to do this without creating seperate tasks was by putting the shifts in the resource columns. For example: theres a task that takes 10 days but the first 2 days there are 2 shifts of workers and the next 2 days there is 1 shift etc... Not sure if this clears it up at all but I am very new to Project so thank you for all your help! Katy |

Hi Katy,
He should define the shifts for the workers and project will schedule the tasks based upon the workers' calendars. I think, based upon what little I know of your situation, that would be preferable to trying to edit each resource's working hours on the assignment. Julie |
