can not delte actual dates in future
I am trying to review and correct a schedule done by a contractor and he put in actual dates for some activities although they are in the future. I am trying to delete those actual dates. but i can not. i go to that cell and hit delete and nothing happens. He also put in actual durations too. so I tried deleting actual durations too but all it does is to update actual dates but i still can not delete actual dates. please help, how can i delete the actual dates for future activities? on another project schedule i did myself, i cam able to do it but not on the schedule he did. |

I'm guessing the file is not read-only? You can change and save other data?
I suggest applying the Tracking Table to the left side -- set % complete to zero and the Actual Start and Finish should turn to NA. |

no, the file is not read only, i can change or add other things. even for the future activities that he says %0, he has actual dates (which i am not able to modify).

Did you try applying the Tracking table as I suggested? I am unaware of any type of project where only specific values are uneditable.
If the tasks are 0% complete -- they should have no actual duration. Is it possible to contact the contractor and ask then what they have done? Julie |
