remaining duration vs finish date
Hello, Although I updated the status date of my project to today, february 15th, and i am showing a 10 day remaining duration with manual entry there, the finish date is showing feb 21 for an activity, which is much sooner than 10 days from now. why? |

Updating the status date does not move tasks by itself. You need to run the Reschedule uncompleted tasks command -- which is going to split your task (which you did not like from a previous post) and move the remaining work to be scheduled as of the status date.
Then the remaining duration and the scheduled finish date should align. Julie |

If the work took longer than originally planned, you should record Actual Duration and then increase remaining duration.
