Auto Insert Text from external sources
Is there any method to insert text but since another .txt or .csv file?
I mean like Fields, something like this: word file name: Field: Cell-Table or Custom Field file1 path/file.txt table1/cellA1 file2 path/file.txt Field-in-page-03-row1-column1 |
You can certainly use Word's Insert|Object>Text from File function to insert content at whatever the current selection might be, it's not at all apparent what you want done with the inserted content. Perhaps you're thinking of something along the lines of a mailmerge? Some clarification of your expectations would help.

Are you asking how to insert a complete text file into a specific location in a document?
Or are you asking how to parse a text file to find a specific item to bring it into a defined location in the document. If it was me, I would start by 'tagging' the target locations in the Word document by inserting Content Controls and either map them to embedded XML fields or use their Title and/or Tag properties to populate them from the text file inputs. |
