powerpoint 2007 slide master
I'm trying to work out how the slide master works. When I open the slide master view, I'm presented with the slide master and a number of slide layouts below. I'd like to edit the footer to be included in all slide layouts.
By default, the first slide layout is highlighted. 1. If I edit the textbox with the text "footer" to include my name, it doesn't get displayed in the print preview. Generally, despite the fact that in the slide master view footer boxes are present in all slide layouts, none of it is displayed in the actual slideshow/print preview. 2. If I click on the slide master (the one above different slide layouts) in the slide master view and change some information in the footer, none of it is reflected in the actual presentation. What am I doing wrong? Sorry, but as far as I'm concerned, this defeats the whole object of having a slide master. Could you kindly show me the steps to include: slide number my name today's date on all slides? Thank you for your time. |

Ok, I think I've cracked it.
I need to make the necessary footer changes on the slide master (not slide layouts) and then activate the footer in Insert --> Header&Footer. It seems to be working. Am I correct? |
